We are fortunate that we have direct and easy access to the fabulous countryside around our villages with many public footpaths close at hand but also have a number of Open Green Spaces within the parish that are maintained and managed by the Parish Council.

Dating back to 1040 this ancient monument is a 2 minute walk from the centre of the village.
Scholes Lodge Field
Owned and maintained by the Parish Council this area has many hidden secrets yet is a public open space for all

Jack Heaps Field
Donated to the villagers of Barwick in Elmet by Mr Jack Heaps after the 2nd World War the land is held in trust by the Parish Council
