Many will already be aware that LCC are planning to close Leeds Road for 6 weeks during the school holidays.   This will mean ALL vehicles from Barwick and beyond will be forced through the village and have to queue to exit onto the A64.

Emergency vehicles will also have to get to Barwick via the A64, Scholes Lane and through Scholes Village which will add precious time to their response and arrival at any emergency.  Equally the times for an ambulance to get from Barwick to LGI or St. James will be increased.

There has not been any consultation with any of the village organisations, Parish Council or Leeds Ward Councillors.
